  i order takeout on dec 24, and new years day . both times for a partyy, i ordered the food thinking it would be better the second time, but i was disappointed both times. the steam rice was undercooked and almost tasted raw. the portions were different both times and was too tough to chew. i order the beef with black bean sauce, but got chicken instead. the almond chicken was too dry. the deep fried wantons were not crispy and did not come with sauce. the stir one side was too salty, and the other was too bland. the salt and pepper squid was too dry, it had too much MSG and there was not enough breading. the garlic dry ribs is taste good, but only a few pieces, some are very large. i order house special egg foo yong, the waitress said no, and some on the menu, why not? however, the following things were good. the broccoli beef, chicken chow mein and shanghai style noodles are good. but the disgusting thing about was that i found a short piece of hair in stir fried mixed veg.

  A little gem of a restaurant recommend by a friend who has lived in Cochrane for 40 years. Well worth the drive. I'm very critical of authentic Chinese food and I was delightfully pleased and impressed. The service is exceptional. Dinner for 2 was more than we could eat. Home made delisious dumplings and awesome won ton soup. Nice atmosphere and a family run business. I highly recommend!
